General Information About PBL

PBL is a strategy used to engage students in learning from real world experiences that relate to the science being taught. Students become interested in topics as "stories" and then complete research related to the problem. When correlated with standards in the core, this is an excellent way to facilitate students in their own learning. Inquiry Lab activities may become part of the PBL.

Learn how to write your own PBL's. It may be helpful to keep a copy of the Core document and a testable vocabulary list at your side.
A more accurate title might be "student-centered, problem-based, inquiry-based, integrated, collaborative, reiterative, learning."
