You may click on the links within the PowerPoint in order to access various background information and templates for literacy strategies.

Spinner Template

A template provided for making student spinners. Mount the pie chart onto foam core board and then tape a large paper clip on to the back of the arrows. You can then use a push pin to attach the arrow to the center of the spinner. If you create a classroom set, they should last for years to come.

Optional: You could create spinners for use in creating inquiry labs by changing the action words to parts of the scientific method.
